Filtering and sorting
Every way to narrow a board to the work you mean, and how a link carries it.
Narrow any board to the work you mean. Everything you pick lands in the address, so the board you are looking at is a board you can send to somebody.
Narrow the board
| Filter | Use it to |
|---|---|
| Project | Show one project, or the tasks filed under none. |
| Me | Show only your own work, in one click. |
| Assignees | Show several people at once, or unassigned work. |
| Epics | Show everything filed under a piece of work. |
| Category | Separate bugs from tasks. |
| Priority | Show what is urgent, or everything that is not. |
| Created by | Show what somebody raised, rather than what they hold. |
| Dates | Set a range over created, due or last updated. |
Search
Search matches titles and keys, and it reaches into subtasks: searching for a subtask surfaces the card it lives in. A % or _ you type is searched for literally.
Sort
Sort by board order, priority, due date, created or last updated, in either direction. Board order is the column's own rank and the only order a card can be dragged into.
Reset
Reset All clears every filter at once. On a project board it keeps the project, because that is where you are rather than something you chose.
Common questions
I filtered by a person but a task of theirs is missing.
Check the done window. Finished work older than 30 days is hidden until you widen the 30d control.
Why does filtering by me show tasks assigned to somebody else?
Because one of its subtasks is yours. A card's face already shows its subtasks' assignees, and the filter matches what you can see.
Can I keep a filter combination?
Yes. Save it as a view.
